Hello everyone! I’m Tanya, hairstylist and fashion extraordinaire (lol).  I was born and raised in California while my immediate family is from the Central American country of Belize. Growing up in Los Angeles, I have been able to develop my gift in the world of fashion and have become more and more enthused and excited about placing my finger print on upcoming fashion trends.  

 I have been a hairstylist for many years now and I love to create looks that increase a woman's self esteem. It is so rewarding to have someone sit in my chair and leave feeling renewed and confident in themselves.  However, we all should know that beauty truly comes from within. I don’t know how many times I have seen a person that appeared to be beautiful and their rotten attitude made them ugly and vice versa. It's really important to develop the whole person when attempting to become a beauty queen.

 I believe that everything happens for a reason and life's ups and downs bring much to be appreciated in this life. It’s important to me to always stay very humble. Making new friends is my pleasure and I don't believe in holding grudges when people fail me.  I am always complemented on my "great" personality. I simply like to enjoy life! It's too short not to. I can practically gel with anyone that's cool. You know, real people.

Star styles that I love? Jennifer Lopez, Racheal Bilson, and I'm really feeling Rihanna lately. Jennifer always dresses for the occasion whether it's sweats and sandals or jeans and heels. That's completely me. I'm on the petite side so I never try to mimic anyone. I sort of go with what makes me feel comfy and confident. I 'm also a soccer mom so running around all day in 5" heels isn't practical for me, but when I dress up it's exciting to slip on those Guiseppe stilettos and step out.

My favorite designer is… well, I couldn’t even pick just one. My closet consists of BCBG Maxazria, Forever 21, a few Poleci, Marc Jacobs, Zara, DVF,vintage and I love Casidei, Giuseppe Zanotti,YSL and Camilla Skovgaard shoes. I am a purse girl without a doubt.  Sometimes I can have a trendy edge and when I do, I find it a challenge to repeat those particular items the following year.  I am striving towards utilizing the more classic pieces which can be reinvented for years on out (especially when I'm on a non-shopping trying to save mission).  Some things are just timeless.  Oh and I have to mention my absolute love and obsession for jeans, jeans and more jeans!  All kinds of jeans!

It would be a huge oversight on my part if I didn’t mention just how fortunate I am to be blessed in so many ways.  I always keep God at the forefront of my life.  I am so grateful for all that I have accomplished thru my personal relationship with Him and I have come to understand the importance of paying my tithes and putting God first.  And believe me, prayer does work. The rest is just blessings, blessings and more blessings!
