all in the name of love...

I feel that genuinely I'm a nice person to everyone. When I'm around people and a stranger walks up to me to speak I don't care how they look, I'm speaking because I'm a polite person. A couple of people have asked me why do you have to speak to everyone, I tell them why not. I'm not better than anyone plus I'm just a respectful person towards everyone.

My youngest daughter is the same way. We are almost identical as far as kindness. I worry about her as she grows because she is so sweet and I already see how even as a kid, people will take your kindness for weakness. She wants to share with everyone and she will play with any and everyone because she loves people like me. She also never tells on anyone if they do something to her, you'll just see her sitting there sad. :( Her mothers child...

My oldest daughter is a tough one and I think that's due to me having her at a young age, so we basically grew up together. I remember when she was in kindergarten and a little boy kept messing with her and she said "mom he better leave me alone." I said just ignore him as long as he doesn't touch you just ignore him. One day when I picked her up the teacher said that she knocked the little boy out. I couldn't believe it! I thought she would be kicked out of the school but the teacher said he had it coming he wouldn't leave her alone. Although violence isn't the answer as I've told her, I then knew that I wouldn't have to worry about anyone messing with her. But she also has a big heart. She has balance:).

Sometimes I wonder why people are so mean and conniving. Even when you think someone is your friend they'll be mean. Everyone is always worried about what the next person is doing which causes people to be resentful. I'm happy for anyone that's doing great in their life especially if it's my friend! No one wants to play fair in life anymore! You know why I'm blessed (it has nothing to do with money it's a inner peace which keeps me smiling no matter what), because I depend on God! When a evil person thinks they are getting ahead they aren't, so don't worry about them, focus on YOU!

Tip of the day: When you have a good heart you will always be ok no matter what!:)

Wearing: Elizabeth and James Blazer, F21 Sweater, LV Bag, Loeffler Randall Heels.

Also I know that there has been a problem with some of you leaving comments and I wanted to thank you for sending me emails and letting me know:).

The description of your girls is similar to my daughters. My oldest is a hard egg. My youngest is sweet as can be. I though she'd have problems when she got to high school, but she's so like-able that no one messes with her.

Your outfit is so bright and sunny that it makes me smile!

It's like you read my mind Tanya this comment is exactly what i have on my heart at the moment n u look radiant in yellow!

Absolutely love the outfit!!! I've seen a lot of neon in the stores lately but I'm nervous about wearing it with my dark skin tone.

I agree 1000% percent on not worrying about evil doers... my mother always use to say "leave people to time." Karma has a very short turn around time these days and I've lived to see man fall on their own sword. I'm a lot more guarded than I've been in the past but one thing I can say is that having a good heart and a humble spirit will ensure an abundance of blessings.

The outfit is fabulous: I love the color and the shoes and bag are wonderful. Thank you also for ministering to me, as I am dealing with a very delicate situation at work. I've exercised GREAT patience with an individual who considers me a friend but I and those around us can see that there is something wrong with the "friendship" because this person esentially bleseses and curses me at the same time. I am literally perplexed and seeking God's wisdom in how to address the issue because one thing I cannot allow is blatant disrespect. Again, thank you Tanya for sharing these wise words!

Love, love, love this post.

Not just the outfit, but the message and your sweet-genuine spirit pouring through my screen.

I'm glad to see you look so happy and full of JOY. God bless you and your beautiful family.

Love,
Grace

I found myself telling my husband one time, I need to stop being nice to people because they tend to think they can take advantage of me, he told me to never stop being who I am on account of other people being ungrateful because my demeanor is what draws people to me. I cant help but be super nice to everyone because thats my nature but if they find themselves taking advantage of me I have to leave that to a higher power to take care of them. I love your words in this post. You look wonderful as always!! I am in love with that blazer!!!

I absolutely love this post, & that's why I love you as a woman of God, I have never met you personally, but I love your spirit it it truly genuine, & you speak what a lot of us are already thinking. I feel that I am nice to everyone as well
And some people take it for granted, & sometimes when that happens I close up like a shell, I know it's wrong, but sometimes it hurts when people use you or abuse your kindness & see it as a weakness. I have learned to just pray & let God take over, instead of being sad or angry about the situation. I will continue to be who I am, I am just careful of who I let in my life from now on. The sad part is that it can be your own family that treat you this way, & it is truly devastating. But thank you for your posts & your honesty, because you don't have to share any part of what you go through with any of us here. Love your sis in Christ, Celina, & may God continue to bless you & your family!

I always love what you write. I wrote a post recently about my nice girl attributes and what that has meant in my life. I think it is awesome that you are so kind to people and your daughter has inherited your trait. That is such a beautiful quality. I love the bold colors you are wearing, so perfect for spring and bright and cheery:-) Keep shining!

I loved this post. I've been a follower for a long time and mainly just looked at your cute outfits. But today, my birthday, something made me come out and want to really read what you had to say. And I'm so happy I did. You're right. People don't want to play fair and see other people happy. Misery loves company and its sad how society is now. I'm glad your daughters are just like you :).

Outfit is so fresh and sweet! I find that people now are very suspicious of nice people. It can be discouraging when it's simply your nature but in the end nice always win. We visit your blog simply because you are nice- and stylish of course :)

I started coming to your blog for the fashion and the pictures. Now, while the fashions are still amazing, I come to your blog for your words of encouragement and your outlook on life. So many things that I am experiencing or thinking, you say. Sometimes, it seems like our lives are rotating on the same axis and when I read your words it's as if God is telling me "You are not alone and it's nothing that you've done to provoke them." Mean people, jealous people, evil people, and people that don't have my best intentions at heart are constantly trying to steal my joy and my peace. After reading this, it hit me: They are trying to steal MY joy and MY peace because I have it!!!! Thank you for starting my Thursday off right. I will walk around today knowing that as long as I have a good heart and God, I will be okay!

Beautiful post. It's amazing when we see our own traits in our kids, or striking differences. Love the outfit! ;-)

Tanya,

You have a big, beautiful heart and I'm proud of you for all you have accomplished in your life. You are honest about who you are and I truly believe that the inner confidence you have is what makes you able to be so kind and loving toward everyone you come into contact with. You are truly blessed and highly favored because you share yourself in so many positive ways.

xoxo
