Christmas is almost here and around the holiday’s if you don’t have much family you can’t help but feel a little lonely sometimes. I get lots of emails asking me “how do you get over someone hurting you and escape the feeling of loneliness?” Although I’m grateful that these people would come to me in their sad time, sometimes I can’t help but have compassion and be saddened as well. In addition you can be in a room full of people and still feel lonely.

When I feel lonely I pray. I continuously ask God throughout the day to remove this uninhabited feeling from my heart. I then try to think of all the positive things that are going on in my life. When I can’t think of anything positive, I redirect my focus on someone in a worse situation than me and see how I can help. Sometimes you just need to pray and go to sleep and when you wake up things are better because God woke you up to see another beautiful day! Things get better day by day. They have to especially when you aren’t a malicious person (if you are look within and change). I promise you’ll be ok. Just keep a good heart and never turn bitter because of your circumstances.:)

Tip of the day: Just take things one day at a time.

  1. You look so pretty!!! Love the hat with your hair.

I agree with everything you said about loneliness… I think it also helps to get out of the house..even if it's as something as simple as taking a book to the coffee shop.

  2. i feel the same way at times. taking things one day at a time is the only way to keep sane! lol…can't always worry about tomorrow.

i LOVE this outfit; its so creative and cute! the tights and beanie are great!!

  3. OMG where did you get those tights?? too cute!! And loneliness is definitely not based on how many people are around you. In a room full of the wrong people you will still be lonely. If you are alone, but content you can be happy and not feel lonely at all. I learned early that you can be great company to yourself, but for this to work you must be in the right state of mind! Thanks for sharing this!!

  4. Your outfit is so cute. Love the tights! And you're right, keep praying and taking it one day at a time. God will see you through anything.

  6. As ALWAY luv the looks and the inspirational message as well. My heart goes out to Diya and please know that I am praying for u and ur sister. I can not imagine how deep that betrayal hurts.

  7. You appear to have a very sweet spirit. I was talking to one of my girlfriends about something similar this week. I had been really irritated with my husband…the state of my finances….my skin…etc. I signed on to facebook and saw that a classmate of mine who had only been married a MONTH lost her husband. Could you image?! I was so moved for a number of reasons. Number one… here I am irritated with my husband for petty things..and she will never see hers again. I am sure she would give anything to even be irritated by him. Two….. I have really been down about the recent loss of my grandmother. I was very close to her and I have felt so alone since she left. I also felt guilty at times…just to be having fun and she isn't here. Well seeing this man under 30 years old lose his life so quickly, put things in perspective. Yes. I miss her. But life is short. My grandmother would not want me here depressed and letting life pass me by. So…since that night…I have challenged myself to take it one day at a time and be thankful for each and every thing. The good and the bad because it all works together in the end!

  8. I totally agree. When I start sulking I watch the news! People losing family, people committing suicide, being evicted, etc I thank God for all the good in my life! Those tights are cute, but that bag….swoon! Have a Merry Christmas! Hopefully we can talk sometime next week:)

  9. Every other post reference designers' names, but I wish this one did. I would love to know the designer of your great handbag. Thanks for sharing, your style is amazing!
