Some men have a perception that just because they are males, that makes them men and that’s not the case. A real man takes care of his family, his responsibilities and his self. He should never lean on a woman to take care of him because it should make him feel less than a man.
It’s ok if you’ve been with someone for a long time and he has a struggle for a bit and you take over. That’s what partnership is about. I’d take care of my husband if I had to until he got on his feet if something were to happen to him financially. But he’s such a man that he wouldn’t even want anything from me. He would get up and stock shelves at the grocery store if he had to because he has no pride when it comes to providing for his family.
This is where a lot of men have things twisted because they feel like they wouldn’t do certain things so they just rather not work at all so all the strain is left on the woman and this isn’t right. This is when the boy comes in and they need to MAN up. My cousin Brandon is in the marines and he’s going to China for 3 years (I’ll miss him) and when I look at him I see a man. Whenever he’s around he fixes things, he opens doors he makes me proud to call him my cousin. He’s a Man. One of my god sons came to visit me at my job and he’s only 10 and when I was leaving he said let me walk you to your car. I smiled and said that’s a little Man:).
I’m saying this to say nothing should really ever be one sided it should always be a team effort. If you are a woman and you do the providing for the household then your man should have dinner ready, clothes washed, kids picked up from school, ect.. If he’s just sitting on his butt all day and you have to do everything what purpose does he serve. Just to say you have a boy should never be the case. Having a Man around always makes things a little easier whether it be your father, uncle, cousin husband or boyfriend while still commending the women that do it all on their own!
Wearing: H&M dress (never wear on a hot/windy day), Ysl heels, LV Bag.
That is so true. No work is less … Nothing to be ashamed of any job that pays and isn't illegal … That 'false' sense of pride is what ruins families.
You are looking so good in that color.

Hi! I love all of your looks! I had a question and maybe this is something other woman will need help with as well; I recently found out my husband and I will be having our first child…what pointers do you have on staying fashionable and not becoming frumpy during a pregnancy? I know some things are impossibilities with a growing tummy but, I refuse to be less than a diva! LOL
This dress is gorgeous!!
Thank You 🙂
I don't need to say anymore… You nailed it with that message.
I've seen a couple of fashionista's wearing this dress but you styled it the best! You worked this dress! I love it!!!!

I truly appreciate this post. I am in a situation where we had to move to another city for my job. Therefore he chose to abandon his job in our hometown. While out of work he was sure to do all the little things around the house and run our errands. Now he has a part time job and is still looking for another job, but he is always sure to have dinner ready and the house clean. Honestly, I truly hate that the roles are reversed, I know it makes him feel like less of a man. But he does without complaint or hesitation. So on the weekend when I am not working I make it my business to return the favor by cooking, cleaning, running errands or whatever I need to do for the household. This has truly been a struggle for both of us but I know that God brought us together for a purpose. And we make a great team because we automatically step in where the other may fall short. I am continuing to pray that God leads him to where he needs to be career wise and until then, I will remain a woman for him: dedicated, submissive and supportive! I think alot of "independent" women take charge that it makes our men lazy in doing the things that a man is supposed to. But I think if you expect me to be a woman I expect you to be a man!
PREACH! I had to print this out and pass it around to a few coworkers! Loving the dress, you look flawless as usual 🙂
What a powerful post! I definitely agree with your perspective. In this economy a lot of men and women are being downsized out of jobs, layed off and that sometimes means starting over with less pay or role reversal in the household. But it definitely is a special kind of man that will do whatever work he has to in order to provide for his family. I respect that.
And ow on to your lovely outfit…You look gorgeous! Love that bright colorful, girly dress, so perfect for the warm weather.
