As I’ve said before I get a lot of emails from my readers asking what they can do to stay toned and what I do. I came up with a cool idea for all of us to motivate each other and come here once a week to share new workouts or anything you want. This will be like a place to report to so we can make sure we all stay on track. If you’d like to join, leave your name (if you leave a fake name be sure to use that every time so we know your progress) and just say I’m in. Everyone can talk to each other through the comment section. We can begin today to change our lifestyle and be aware of what we put in our mouths, not just to feel great about ourselves, but for our health. I’ll put up two exercises a week so we won’t get bored. If you can, take two classes a week and work out 45 min at home the 3rd day.
Me personally, I workout 2-3 times a week. I try (everyday it’s a struggle not to eat that cookie) to watch what I eat everyday. Here are some options on what I eat everyday. You can follow it or you can come up with your own and share it with us.
- Breakfast: Raw oatmeal with a little honey and cinnamon with berries on the side, or a bowl of Special K. If you need something more solid you can eat egg whites, turkey bacon, and a slice of wheat toast. Tea would be best to drink if you can’t do water with your food like me.
- Lunch: Since I’ve been working out, I’ve found these salads that are between 230-280 calories and they get me pretty full. If not I’ll make my own salad with spinach, raisins, avocado, feta cheese and a chicken breast.
- Dinner: This is the hardest part of my day. My family doesn’t want to eat like me. They want real food. I try to eat what I want but just a small portion. I cook a lot so I don’t want to deprive myself of shrimp fried rice if everyone else is eating it, but I try to practice control and I try not to eat after 7pm. If I get hungry I’ll drink green tea, or I’ll have 4 dark chocolate covered almonds.
Snacks: You can have one snack between each meal. I sometimes eat a 100 calorie pack because it’s more convenient. A granola bar or trail mix or almonds are a great snack as well. Good luck with everything. Let’s get started!
I’m doing a plank. You have to suck your core in and hold while breathing in an out for 30 sec. This works your abs hard. Do 3 sets for me please.
Get yourself a ball. They are $9.99 at Marshalls. You have to do 4 sets of 25 crunches on the ball. Make sure to keep your core tight always. And again don’t forget to breath in and out. When holding your core in we sometimes hold out breathe.
Tip of the day: Mind over matter. Don’t give up when you feel like it’s getting tough!
I'm down!! I'm so excited!!! This will be really fun.
What is your total calorie intake? Thanks for the motivation!
Im in!! I need a ball. Thanks for getting me motivated!
For breakfast I eat 100% Pure and Natural Bear Naked Peak Granola Protein with greek yogurt and berries. The granola is great it's packed with protien & it's only 3.99 @ Target…I mix that w/ some plain 0% greek yogurt which is fat free and packed with protein.
Lunch I can eat a spinach salad with Albacore tuna on top with some light dressing.
Dinner is hard for me also….so I get that! 🙂
Alright ladies! LETS GO!
Thanks Shonna! Iknew you'd be in.

I'm in! Hi ladies 🙂
I started my program yesterday. I will be doing P90X most days and eating 100% clean 6 days a week with a free day on either Saturday or Sunday.
I'm in! I've been gradually exercising more and watching what I eat, but this will give me the accountability I need to stick with it 🙂
I'm in too! Couldn't have come at a better time! Just decided yesterday that I will lose 15 lbs. by my bday (Nov 21)
I'm definitely in! I've been working on my health and weight for the past few years. I'm down 56lbs (as of today). I've fallen off of my gym ruitine and I've had plenty of slip ups with my eating habits. I really want to focus on trimming my waistline, getting rid of back fat and love handles and making my butt firmer. I'm excited about getting back on track!
Hi Ladies, I'm Sue and I'm In, I need to loose 20 lbs by the new year…this is just what I need to stay motivated
I'm in! I'll be working out at the gym four times a week doing cardio and weights. I'll also be cleaning up my diet and drinking more water.
I'm in!!!! Weight Watchers online has worked well for me. I lost 42 pounds on the program and also included 4 days of exercise. I fell off my routine about 9 months ago and gained back 15 pounds!!! Soooo ready to get back in my routine. Thanks for the motivation!!!
I'm IN THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I NEED MOTIVATION LOL!!
I stopped going to the gym, however I try and do at least 30 mins of jump rope and lungs and squats at least 3 days a week. I wanna try the work out ball because sit ups are not my friend, well especially on the floor… My bad habits are snacking I love sweets and Chips … and Dinner usually is a weakness of mine as well…. However lately I have been trying the portion control…
I am in too, I have been trying to get my husband & I to lose some weight, & eat healthier. I am not that motivated to exercise, but I know I have to, to see results, please help me stay focused! 🙂
I'm in!

LETS GET IT!!!
I am Dani
This is my daily routine
Breakfast- oatmeal or scrambled egg whites with spinach and mushroom
Snack- Greek yogurt or fresh sliced mango
lunch- salmon or tilapia (baked) with steamed veggies (usually broccoli and carrots) and brown rice or roasted red potatoes
Snack- 3 hard boiled egg whites
Dinner- same as lunch
I also usually drink about 3-4 cups of hot green tea, no honey and lost of water.
Eating right is about 70-80% of weight results so when you keep your lifestyle right you dont have to exercise as much, But i like to exercise 5 times a week. I do insanity when i can or go to the gym.
Great idea MajorMustHaves!!!
Hi my name is Brandy and I'm in! I have recently stopped going to the gym regularly. I have started doing 3 sets of 10 pushups, 20 sit-ups, 25 squats, 20 lunges(10 per leg) and 80 jumping jacks, 3x's per week. This is truly what I need to get motivated!!
I'm so excited! I accidently ate one of my friends oatmeal cookies today and I felt horrible afterwards, but I'll use it as my cheat snack like my friend said. We have to stay on track! I have to stay on track! Good luck to all of you until we meet again next Tuesday!

I'm in!!!

I'm in. Will get an exercise ball this week. I'm a woman of a certain age, and a follower of your blog. I don't drink soda, and have cut way back on sugar. Any tips for the mature woman. Besides your great fashion looks, you have one of the most inspiring blogs on the web. Keep up the GREAT work.
That 1st photo just reminded me; a couple of months ago I had worked my way up to 5-minute planks. And I had another goal to do 5-minute wall sits (I think I was up to 2.5 min). You'll never burn so much energy in so little time, and requires no equipment. Oh, I remember what derailed me – my laptop broke down and I could no longer find five minute songs of my choice. You do them for the duration of your favorite song. =) I loved planking to "blackout" by dmx, lox, and jayz.
