We should all want fulfillment inside ourselves independently so we have to put in the work. This takes effort and a lot of time, which leaves no moment for us to waste focusing on anyone else’s business but our own. The plus side to that is, you stay out of the (messy) mix as that is so easy to get caught up in.
When you become in tune with yourself (this is a constant practice) you begin to know your worth, follow signs, trust your instincts and know when others are genuine or not. It is important when making big or small decisions to have a clear head. When you are a genuine person without motives to gain anything from anyone just truly being kind, that person will feel it. I know I do and it has a lot to do with me spending time with myself, praying and meditating daily. The minute I slack I feel this weight come over me, my mind gets clouded and I instantly know what I need to do.
I’ve always longed for connection with others and this is why I will have a conversation with anyone. It has led me to connect with some of the most amazing people that I treasure. It’s so refreshing to talk to people deeply connecting from the soul. This again goes back to kindness. With that be said I feel like we strive so hard to work on ourselves on the outside and not enough on the inside. I’m constantly working on myself, which means I can only grow and get better, why because I work at it. All great things take work and I want to be great not just for my sanity, but so I can be of use to others.
It’s also fulfilling to do nice things for others. I volunteer myself to a family member 5 hours a week. I don’t have to but I want to. I think there is someone in all of our lives that need a helping hand. You neighbor might need somethings from the grocery store, your grandmother may like it when you read to her. Your nephew may need tutoring for an hour a week. It takes time out of your day but somehow at the end of your week you will feel more grateful and complete.
Remember to take care of you from the inside out so your beauty can shine from within when you walk in a room, have an open heart so you can do kind things for others, stay out of the (messy) mix and most importantly pray everyday. Life will never be perfect, but you will leave a positive footprint wherever you go with your positive energy.
Tip: People can feel your energy, so let’s work on bettering ourselves. xoxoWearing: Nordstrom Rack top (alternative here, here, here, here, here), I’m in love with the cut of these Paige Denim Jeans Hoxton Ultra Skinny in Carmen Tear and Repair (must have), Charlotte Olimpia Sandals, Balenciaga Bag.
