giving upI received an email from a young lady about a week ago and I immediately responded telling her to send me her number, but never heard back from her. She stated that life is so tough for her and she doesn’t have any close friends or family near her while finishing her schooling abroad, in addition her mother doesn’t even bother to check on her. She also said she feels like giving up.

I want to take the time to tell this young lady to stay strong. This experience will give you character and show you that YOU are all YOU got. You also have to learn to depend on God  when you’re feeling alone. Please never forget that He is there when no one else is. He has gotten me through my tough times when I felt like “why is happening to me”.

I’ve had my fare share of trials. I made it through with prayer, faith and knowing that there is a reason why this is happening. I wouldn’t change one thing if I could either…when you look back you’ll see it wasn’t that bad and you’ll admire yourself for your strength.

I want all of my readers to pray for this girl. She’s a young girl alone so let’s pray for her to stay busy and focused on school so that she can be a successful young lady and meet a successful young man and have an amazing family that she’s always desired.:)

Tip of the day: It’s ok to stand alone and stand strong sometimes! Remember this struggle is temporary.

  1. Love all the colors!

I agree w/ the statement you made. My Mother left at 17, it was truly difficult to find my way but staying busy and working always helped me progress. Don't ever give up, education is the best thing right now!

I have been through so much but all of my tough experiences have built my character and I am sure the same will happen for her. 8. I completely agree that giving up is not an option. Unfortunately, a lack of support in a place unfamiliar takes a toll on others differently. I highly suggest this young lady get involved in some different activities and social groups on campus to establish a support system for herself so she can stay strong through this journey! We all know that the Lord doesn't put you in any situation that you can't handle. This young lady will find her inner strength and rise above this situation. I wish her luck! I love the water fountain in the background of thisbphoto shoot and the play on all the different colors! Jus lovely in the summer! Smooches

  9. Wishing this young girl much success. It may seem difficult to be alone in a foreign land, but it makes it easier if you get out and immerse yourself into the culture and get to know people. You have such a wonderful opportunity that many people will not ever have in their lifetime. So please, enjoy it now. One day you will be able to tell someone you do this and that while abroad, and inspire someone to travel somewhere as well. Please take care of yourself. All the best. xx

  10. Sorry I am just now reading this!! I could not have said it better myself! You hit the nail right on the head! I want to say to that young lady that I have had one tradgedy after the other in my life. I also, would not change a thing! It has made me stronger and God WILL reward you. Just hold on! I know it's hard but you will see that in hindsight it ALL make sense! Trust me. You are going to be so rewarded for all of your trials and tears. Stay connected to positive people and join a "good" church where you can be around positive people. That is so important!

If you don't have a mother or a sister or a father God will send you one. On my journey I have met so many new family members. You have a family in the body of Christ!

And of course you are welcome to join http://www.gospelsoupcafe.com for a community of support and encouragement!!

    And LISTEN to Tanya! 🙂
