I am constantly working on myself and in doing so, I’m constantly being faced with unexpected challenges. When I’m faced with a battle my first reaction in the past would be to go off, but my approach has changed because my way of thinking has changed.

I was faced with a very tough situation by a friend a couple months back. I was doing a lot and going through a lot and I felt that this person was very uncompassionate to my situation. When they were acting this way I had to take a deep breath and think to myself, you don’t hate this person. Also I still considered what they were going though and didn’t think of myself and proceeded with kindness. In the end my mother told me I should have said how I felt, but I decided to just apologize and move on so nothing can impeed my progress of improving myself.

I realized in order to stay on the right path we have to be aware of everything around us, constantly work on ourselves and be good to the people around us, even if they don’t practice the same manners. It doesn’t matter who’s right or wrong. In the end you’ll have peace knowing you were kind.

Tip of the day: You will resort to your old behavior if you don’t constantly work on YOU.
