Today, I’d like to bring something very important to your attention.  It’s important because it is something very small yet a big mistake that is made by all of us.  I would like to invite you to stop looking at your cons and begin focusing on your pros! Yes! The positive things about you that make you you.

Many people tend to focus on the negative things about themselves (I’m guilty of it too) but, I strongly advise you to focus on your pros not your cons. Even when someone gives a compliment, many people will quickly brush it off with a “con” or a reason why they don’t really deserve the compliment.  Well, I just want you to know that you have to love you and accept your positive characteristics at all times.  And please know, you always deserve the compliment, so own it!

Everyone has a unique quality about themselves that makes them different and it’s not necessarily physical.  It can be something that you are good at. Your gift! Usually everyone recognizes it and you enjoy doing it to the fullest.  These gifts are part of God’s purpose for our lives and when you tap in and realize what your gift is, this is when you should take it, run with it and do it to the best of your ability.

Whether you are discovering your gift or just loving and appreciating the person God made you to be, you MUST always “accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative”.  In doing so, you begin to walk in success.  It is very difficult to be successful in life if you don’t embrace yourself and all the positive things about you.  If you begin to nurture your positive attributes, you will begin to realize all the potential that you have and start walking out your ultimate dreams.

If you feel that you are too old or that it’s too late to fulfill your dream, think again. I know many people that changed their career because they decided to follow their dreams at a later age.  It’s never too late! The sooner you start loving you and doing you the more time you have to enjoy life and truly make a difference that  no-one else can replicate, but you…

So follow your dreams by focusing on you and your pros. Not the cons!!!
Tip of the day: It’s never to late to fulfill your dream…
Wearing: SKY dress and Giuseppe Zanotti sandals. It’s blazing hot in Cali!

  1. Good morning Doll!! How are you doing? I'm great this morning. The pros always out weight the cons you said it best on one of your other post always go with your first mind!

  2. Great reminder to us all.
I am one of those that will always shy away from a compliment. It embarrasses me. lol
But you are right, I should own it, and I will.
    Thanks for pointing that out.

That colorful dress looks great on you.

    Stay Blessed.
    And cool.

    TCD

  3. I totally agree with your post. It had taken me years to learn to accept me. Being of an Italian and African American background, I was always considered the weird looking girl in the click. I would find faults all of the time. I hated facial features (like my nose) or just my body in general. But now, I've learned to accept everything about me. I've learned to accept what parts make me as a whole. What a great post!

You look great by the way!

  4. Couldn't have said it better myself! : ) Glad the whether is starting to cool! You look hot as usual BUT, I want that mirror! Leave it to me to recognize the props. Beautiful mirror. I bet you use it to fall in love with your beautiful self…as we all should. Focusing on the positive makes you confident and when you are confident, you have power and your beauty from the inside can't help but show up on the outside. We are trained to dwell on the negative as we get tainted by this world! Simple trick of the enemy and it works so well. BUT if we train our brains to go positive…WOW! and BAM! Everyone can do it!

    Luv u…

  5. There is nothing better than a strong, assertive woman who knows her worth. If you are not confident in who you are and what you believe in, no one else is going to have confidence in you. I love a woman with a strong walk, her head held high, and a radiant presence.

    I loved your post today!!

  7. Not only do you have the most fabulous shoes, you have an amazing spirit and energy about you. I so appreciate your positive energy. Merci!

  8. Wow, that's so terrible…..I look forward to reading your post and your pics. I love your blog….you're always so positive, uplifting and classy. You give great advice and are always such the fahshionista 🙂 It's unfortunate that there are always going to be people out there who want to see you fall……the devil is real and he will use anyone andy anything to bring you down. He tries even harder when your doing Gods work and bringing positive energy to peoples lives……not to mention, unhappy people do unhappy things….they should be getting inspiration from you…..everyone has the potential to be great….you just have to do the work to get there….I hope you get to the bottom of everything and still keep your page….. 🙂
