Hello there my faithful readers. Hope your week is going great so far. Oct.31st is coming up and I told myself I wasn’t going to even acknowledge that day, but when you have kids it’s kinda hard. I got sucked into buying costumes at the last minute (nothing scary) and that’s cause my baby said all week “PLEASE MOMMY”! I gave in but I told her we will call it dressing up day. I explained to my kids that from now on we only celebrate God’s birthday!

I got this dress from Out of the Closet for $8. I had to get it shortened so total cost was $28!. I love it. Arden B belt, YSL heels.

One of my readers would like to know what post impacted you guys the most. I’ll leave that up to you guys to answer her question:).

I will be doing a hair tutorial soon I just have to get back on track. Feel free to e-mail me if you can’t wait and I’ll be glad to share the products I use with you.

    Love you sis

  6. I'M SO SHOCKED WITH YOUR FIND. IT IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I JUST KNEW YOU SPENT A COUPLE OF HUNDRED ON IT. WHEN YOU SAID $8, MY JAW DROPPED *LITERALLY* LOL. I HAVE AN OUT OF THE CLOSEST RIGHT DOWN THE STREET FROM WORK. I WILL DEFINITELY CHECK IN OFTEN TO SEE WHAT I CAN FIND.
I HAVE A DAUGHTER AND ALTHOUGH SHE'S TOO YOUNG TO UNDERSTAND HALLOWEEN NOW I WILL EXPLAIN IT TO HER. WE PLAN TO TAKE HER TO THE CHURCH HARVEST FESTIVAL.

  7. The post that touched me the most was the one about how giving your mom is and how she wants to start an orphanage in Belize. I love people who give freely because what people forget to realize is that God is the master of what goes around comes around and when you give you always receive…from Him regardless. People always want something if they do any little thing when the bottom line is you will be taken care of but when you put a price and a cost and a tit for tat on everything and always look to receive credit for everything you do you get less in return. Practice humility, be like Tanya's mom and give out of the kindness of your heart. Appreciate the gift of giving. Selflessness people!

  8. beautiful! you've SO inspired me to find other awesome fashion blogs, to thrift and utilize alterations to make some fabulous pieces. i can't wait for your hair post, although your hair has always been long, few ppl have hair as beautiful as yours!

  9. Are you serious? You do know that Halloween has nothing to do with the devil/sinning/evils? Anyway, they're all constructs of the Christian faith. Do some research next time honey, you might learn something new.

  10. Love the outfit! I CAN'T believe you only spent $8!!!!!! You look great!!!!

@ Jackie. Just because one chooses not to celebrate Hallowen doesn't mean they are ignorant to the origin of the holiday. I am also hesitant to have my kids celebrate….not because I believe it glorifies the devil. I understand that the holiday is a celebration of All Saints Day. But I also see what some PEOPLE have made it be. turn on your local news channel…..how many stories if evil have seen thus far. So, before you criticize, take time to ask WHY a person's beliefs may differ from yours. You may be surprised by what you hear.

  11. You look gorgeous.
When I think of posts that you have written that I am partial to, there are soo many, but one of the first is your post on accepting compliments and believing that we are deserving. I am still struggling on that one, but I will get there.

    Stay Blessed

  12. I love your dress and I think that anything looks good on you. The people who say they do not like your blog or copy
off of you are just HATERS and most definitely are Jealous of you. P.S. I'll take character over reputation…your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are AND Be what you are… That's the first step toward becoming better than you are. Also remember that Life is like a confused teacher…first she gives the test and then teaches the lessons…and Life is a little work, a little sleep, a little love and it's all over.
"Judge me and you'll have no time left to love me"-TO THE Spiteful mean people…. everywhere
"Listen to many, speak to only a few"- A lesson to all of you.

  13. Being that Halloween is my birthday I must defend it. Halloween actually wasnt intended to be a bad day..people made it into evil. Actually dressing up in scary costumes was a practice done to ward of bad spirits on All Hallows Eve. Although that is a Pagan belief. For us at home and as Christians we simple celebrate the act of going to get candy..lol

We never dress our son up in anything that depicts evils though…Chief and I made that agreement before our son was born.

I'm glad you let your girls enjoy their fun day 🙂

  14. Oh Lord, and you have such an amazing sense of style. Wow, I can't help but wonder how old you are? You do NOT look like a mummy(in a good way). I used to think my mummy was yummy. But wow… You are :O
